ECONOMIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC TRANSITION AS THE CAUSES OF DEPOPULATION OF BORDER AREAS

For a long time under the influence of scientifictechnological changes, radical economic changes are taking place and their origination modern economists call economic transition. But, at the same time with these processes there are changes in demographic structure of the society taking place which demographers call demographic transition. Since these phenomena are intertwined, they give as a result drastic up growth of depopulation which is most expresses in border territories. It is intention of the author to draw attention on these negative developments.
