Abstract

The current economic crisis is probably the largest that the world has seen, both geographically and in depth. If someone could talk about its positive impact, it is obvious the need for a serious review of the situation in economic science. The power of neo-liberal ideas is not in its quality, as well as universality, but that it is able to control economic policy, while blocking all criticism. Big business has almost unlimited financial power to the political, intellectual and media space create as it wants. Big business is an inspirator and source of forces of neoliberalism and that symbiosis function efficiently. This paper has the hypothesis that the triumph of market ideology of individualism - an aggressive and intolerant market fundamentalism - is the main cause of the problem of economic science, but also the culmination of the global economic crisis.
